Terrabind™ Ultimate by Bind-X is Australia’s only wet-stable biological dust suppressant and soil stabiliser, transforming loose soil into a concrete-like stone base to deliver heavy-duty performance across mining, civil, council, trades, and DIY use cases without clogging equipment or requiring site remediation.

What is TerrabindTM Ultimate used for?

Terrabind™ Ultimate by Bind-X is specifically used for heavy-duty soil stabilisation and dust suppression in the mining industry. However, Terrabind™ Ultimate is ideal for many use cases.

Application Methods

Terrabind™ Ultimate has two main application methods depending on which treatment is required: Pour-On or Mix & Compact. Note – we recommend doing a test before large scale applications.

Pour On Application

This is the most common application technique, used on roughly 70% of customer sites. It is used for dust suppression on minesites, roadways, stockpiles, tailings storage facilities (TSFs) and more.

Pour On Terrabind™ Ultimate using 0.6L per m2 initially, then reapply 15% each month as maintenance, as required.

POUR ON METHOD (Surface Crust)

  1. Measure application area (m2)

  2. Calculate Terrabind™ Ultimate required: 0.6L per 1m2

  3. Purchase calculated product from Prozyme

  4. Plan application for clear, dry weather – if forecasted to rain, reschedule application

  5. Prepare application equipment

  1. Mix 1 part Terrabind™ Ultimate into 5 parts Water (1:5)

  2. Pour-On 3.6L of mixture per 1m2 of surface area

  3. Clean up equipment and work area

  4. Use treated area immediately

  5. Reapply Terrabind™ Ultimate at 15% rate monthly or as required

Mix & Compact Application

This method is used during the construction or major maintenance of high-traffic primary roads such as light vehicle and haul roads, to maximize dust control, road stability and water resistance.

Mix & Compact (Build in) using 1.3L per m2 initially, then reapply as required.

MIX & COMPACT METHOD (Deep Stabilisation)

  1. Call Prozyme Technical Support for assistance

  2. Check soil suitability for desired use case

  3. Measure application area (m2)

  4. Determine application depth (mm)

  5. Calculate Terrabind™ Ultimate required: 1.3L per 1m2

  6. Purchase estimated product from Prozyme

  7. Test Terrabind™ Ultimate application process before large scale application

  8. Check & adjust application process for large scale application

  9. Plan application for clear, dry weather – if forecasted to rain, reschedule application

  1. Rip the treatment surface to the requited depth

  2. Apply Terrabind™ Ultimate at 1.3L per 1m2

  3. Mix and level the treated material

  4. Compact the treated material

  5. Clean up equipment and work area

  6. Allow treated to partially dry

  7. Reapply Terrabind™ Ultimate as required

Clean up & Storage

HASSLE-FREE CLEAN UP

Traditional bitumen and chemical binders leave sticky residues that destroy machinery, but Terrabind Ultimate is engineered to be fleet-friendly. 

>  Zero Equipment Damage: It leaves absolutely no adverse effects on mine infrastructure, meaning it will not clog spray nozzles, pipe seals, or centrifugal pumps.

>  No Product Separation: The solution does not leave sticky residues or goopy drop-outs at the bottom of tank walls.

>  Water-Only Flush: Because it dissolves completely in water prior to application, equipment (like standard water trucks) can be cleaned by simply flushing the tanks and spray bars with clean water right after use.

>  Biodegradable Spills: If there is an accidental over-spray or spill, it is 100% natural and biodegradable. It will not leach toxic chemicals into nearby waterways or disrupt local soil ecosystems.

SIMPLE LONG TERM STORAGE

Because the product is transported and stored as a dry powder before on-site mixing, its logistics are highly optimised.

>  Extended Shelf-Life: It features a stable shelf-life of over two years.

>  Extreme Weather Resistance: Unlike liquid chemical alternatives that can freeze, separate, or spoil under harsh ambient conditions, the dry powder can be safely stored in intense heat typical of remote mine sites.

>  Standard Industrial Warehousing: It does not require climate-controlled spaces, specialized dangerous goods storage, or hazardous material placards. Standard, dry pallet storage or bulk bags are completely sufficient.
